MEET THE FOUNDER

behind the black healing collective

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR + FOUNDER

HI, I'M BRIANNE PATRICE + I STARTED THE BLACK HEALING COLLECTIVE SO THAT I COULD BE A CATALYST FOR HOW BLACK WOMEN AND FEMMES ACCESS AND ACTIVATE THEIR MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING.

Brianne Patrice, is the visionary force behind The Black Healing Collective. With a heart as bold as her vision, Brianne is on a mission to create an ecosystem that redefines support and access for Black women and femmes. Patrice has been working as an advocate for women’s rights since 2014. Starting with educating women about all things sexual health, she’s moved into various avenues in the editorial, creative, educational and non-profit spaces surrounding womanhood, Blackness and healing over the past decade. She is founder of Twenty Nine Thirty and the Black Healing Collective, a non-profit serving as a larger ecosystem centering Black well-being.

community

community is what will save us. at the Black Healing Collective, we believe that community care is the way forward. fostering a safe, supportive and inclusive environment where Black women and femmes can share their combined experiences— building a network of support that prioritizes mutual aid and collective power.

care

care signifies the transformative power of healing and rebirth. at the Black Healing Collective, we embrace the concept of care as a journey towards reclaiming our well-being and redefining our narratives. through compassionate care and comprehensive resources, we empower members to heal from past traumas, rediscover their desires, and envision a future filled with possibilities. both care and rebirth are about renewal and liberation, allowing Black women and femmes to break free from the constraints of systemic oppression and embody their full selves.

connection

connection is the lifeline that sustains us. at the Black Healing Collective, we understand the profound impact of genuine connections. we facilitate opportunities for Black women and femmes to connect with one another, forging bonds that transcend individual struggles. these connections are built on empathy, understanding, and shared experiences. by fostering these relationships, we create a supportive network that uplifts and inspires, helping each member to navigate life's challenges with the assurance that they are not alone.

The Black Healing Collective was founded to cultivate a nurturing environment where Black women and femmes can discover healing, forge connections, and champion their own well-being.

Our purpose is to empower and uplift those who have been marginalized and underserved by granting them access to vital resources and support.
